Nick Evans Mowery
Stone Cold Touch
Tangent Boy Productions
I just love independent musicians --good ones that is. And Nick Evans Mowery is beyond good. He's an exceptional guitarist and has the ability to search out and play many differnet styles. Nick is a true artist, searching for his own indentity and purpose. He's also smart enough to know singer/songwriters are a dime a dozen, so he's not easily caught up in all the hype.
"My main goal is to showcase my songwriting and hopefully get other artists to record my tunes. Luckily, some of my tunes have already been downloaded many times on most of the major sites -- #11 '30 Yrs Gone,' #3 'Never Let Her Go,' and #4 'Cool,'" Nick said.
His most recent release "Stone Cold Touch" is a funky mix of cool licks and hot jive, served up in John Cougar fashion. "Attitude Strut" one of the hip cuts off Nick's new CD was featured on www.garageband.com as the blues/rock track of the week in April. The honor is only given 52 times over the course of the year. A Previous CD, "Blood & Rust," contained a song called "Dylan's Ride Home," which I'd love to hear, being a huge Dylan fan.
